SANTO DOMINGO.- More than 51.0% of Dominicans stopped eating salami after the Consumer Protection Agency (ProConsumidor) published a study showing its poor quality and health risks.

Before the report only 14.6% of the population didn’t consume salami, according to a survey by the pollster Newlink Research, disclosed by the program Cuentas Claras on 95.7 FM

It also reveals that 50.7% of those polled said they use the popular sausage between one and three times a week; 23.5% 4-6 times and 11.3% more than six times, although the figures significantly drooped following ProConsumidor’s report.

The survey with a 3.08% margin of error conducted from August 19 to 21 polled 1,014 people, and found that 62% trust the study on salami quality.

What's expected, when the government agency in charge of the investigation won't divulge the names and ranking in impurities. So, might as well stay away from it completely.

It seems like the companies putting out the good stuff would be up in arms over this since they won't say who the poo poo contributors are and all are being penalized....by the people anyway.

in the DR, on the other hand, government's first obligation is to protect the oligarchs.

i found it particularly entertaining that the press claimed that it could not reveal the names of the offenders, because it would necessitate a court order. strangely enough, and equally predictable, such order was not forthcoming. in the USA, armies of consumer protection agents would be roaming food outlets, making sure that not a single ounce of the offending product were on any shelves, and tv outlets would have informed prospective buyers of the names, from day one.

Only 15% contains "M", but 100% are garbage with high "everything" that is not good for living beings...

So, we don't need the "names", the name is.... ALL OF THEM!

I'm purchasing plenty of salami. I use all of it on my lawn and wow the grass is green green green.
