Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina’s government is ready to begin preparing
the draft budget to submit to the National Congress for 2013, minister of the Presidency Gustavo Montalvo.
Medina’s economic team is
analyzing the economic, financial and budget situation of the country
in order to take appropriate action for the rest of the year.
After announcing his new cabinet last week, the president will gradually appoint other officials in public
administration, Montalvo told the press.

As someone hinted at in another topic, some good things done with more talking of intent of actions, but as yet to see any real action..
So how long before we have more than words? 100 days?

According to Wikipedia, the Santo Domingo's "useless metro" daily ridership averages 120.000 passengers. The second line, slated for completion in March, 2013, will add another 130.000 daily passenger average ridership.
The Spanish-French built train cars are all provided with the latest technology, including air conditioning and overhead electrical feed for greater comfort and safety.
I don't know, perhaps these 250.000 commuters might have been better off riding conchos and buses, no?. What do y'all think? eh?

It may come as surprise to some but Santo Domingo is but one city in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC and the USELESS METRO only accounts, at best, as providing service to 0.5% of the NATIONAL Population and only in linear area of 14km!
On the other hand this ill-conceived, poorly planned and politically motivated FINANCIAL ALBATROSS STOLE the CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED resources to provide EDUCATIONAL Opportunity for MILLIONS of politically innocent Dominican Children NATION-WIDE!

Dream on Danilo! with almost half of the cabinet and key position members from the old administration, we just can see on our "crystal ball", another ‘revolving door” and more millionaires. You are proposing a very ambitious budget without sufficient funds or revenues. Simply relying on foreign assistances, grants and the foreign run tourism industry. Once again, good luck.
