Santo Domingo.- Fuel prices climb for a third straight week except natural gas, so from September 15 to 21 premium gasoline will sell for RD$243.50 an increase of RD$3.10 and regular will sell for RD$224.20, or RD$2.60 more per gallon.
Regular diesel will cost RD$200.60 and RD$207.30 for premium, an increase of RD$2.90 on both; avtur will cost RD$169.38, an increase of RD$3.70; kerosene rises RD$4.30 to RD$196.20, while fuel oil will cost RD$143.10 for an increase of RD$3.41 per gallon.
Propane gas will cost RD$92.50 per gallon, an increase of RD$2.50, while natural gas will remain unchanged at RD$30.50 per cubic meter.
The Industry and Commerce Ministry used the Dominican Republic Central Bank’s average posted exchange rate of RD$39.28 per dollar to calculate fuel prices .

Good heavens, You're right! The Metro does not cover the entire Grand Santo Domingo.... YET, But it will...!!
As for the rest of the country, we may have to take away from the education fund to build a trolley in Santiago, La Vega, San Francisco, and wherever there's a need!
The rest of the country will have to rely on railways connecting East-West, and North-South.
The burros will have to revert to riding burros!

It's a virtual certainty that, at the very least, the second line will be completed by the end of this, if not the beginning of next year..!
There will be more than 400.000 riders getting here and there, every day and saving the country huge numbers of dollars in gasoline NOT burned.!
The less petrol we buy, the more money we'll retain to benefit our people in myriad ways, including health, education and welfare.!
