Santo Domingo.- Fuel prices will remain unchanged except propane for the week from September 22 to 28, when premium gasoline will still sell for RD$243.50 and regular for RD$224.20 per gallon.
Regular diesel will still cost RD$200.60 and premium RD$207.30; avtur will cost RD$169.38; kerosene remains at RD$196.20, while fuel oil will cost RD$143.10 per gallon.
Propane gas stays at RD$92.50 per gallon, while natural gas also remains unchanged at RD$30.50 per cubic meter.
The Industry and Commerce Ministry used the Dominican Republic Central Bank’s average posted exchange rate of RD$39.32 per dollar to calculate fuel prices.

Here's a useless factoid: When all the math is done, you're paying about $1.55 per litre of regular gasoline. That's 20% more than here in Ontario where - in my area - where we're paying around $1.23, (although Montreal is about the same as you @ 1.55 +/-).
I agree, though, that the word "stays" frustrates this article which clearly notes that propane prices have "fallen". Maybe it'd have been better to include a "fallen from what or when" clarification in this feature. Also note the dates contained herein. Sept 22 to 28 means that these are projected prices - so even the propane prices may change. Hmmmm.... Don't you just love BIG OIL?
