Santo Dom\ingo.- The Environment and Natural Resources Ministry wll submit the Yaque Sur and Yuna Rrivers Basins Conservation Management Plan to president Danilo Medina this week, aimed at securing the water supply for a large part of the north and the south regions in the coming decades.

Minister Bautista Rojas said he works to complete the initiative that will focus on involving the communities, at a cost of around RD$700.0 million in the first year.

"The investment made in the conservation of watersheds of rivers will be invaluable to the island’s future generations," the official said.
