SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican and Canadian governments resumed talks toward a free trade agreement, Dominican deputry Foreign minister Jose Manuel Trullol affirmed Tuesday.
He said to that end, president Danilo Medina met for over one hour today, with Canada-French prime minister Bernard Valcourd and that nation's ambassador Todd Kuiack.
Also agreed in the meeting was sign an energy agreement which would allow Canadian companies to work to reduce energy losses in the Dominican Republic.
The agreement, on which no further details were provided, will be signed in the Canadian Embassy today.
