Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Thursday will disburse more than RD$2.7 billion today Thursday as an advance for contractors and companies that won the draws to build the first of 10,000 classrooms throughout the country this year.

The program has sparked great expectation among the towns that expect a boost to the local economy starting this month, when construction on many works start, including schools, aqueducts, highways and local roads, as Medina announced then to accompany the proposed tax reform, whose funds are projected from new revenues.

The Presidency’s Website says with the disbursements for the construction of the first 3,000 classrooms, Medina continues to keep his promises.

Yes, and BEFORE any of those items can be allocated you need to have a PHYSICAL PLACE built to accommodate them.

And Dominicans in organized groups, Civic minded, Non-violent, need to step forward and demand that the funds be used for the stated purpose.

Don't just sit at home, but join collective action groups to demand that these programs actually achieve their goal.

This is good news for ones, at least danilo knows that education comes first and he has kept his promise of investing in education . He is making leonel look like crap at this moment .
