Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina will fly to Panama Thursday for the 23rd annual Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held Friday and Saturday.
The President will depart at noon from San Isidro Airbase, accompanied by first lady Candida Montilla, who will take part in activities with her counterparts.
Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo will head Medina’s delegation of officials, with the mogul José Manuel González as special guest.
This is Medina’s second participation at the Summit, the first in Spain last year.
The presidents will discuss "The political, economic, social and cultural role of the Ibero-American community" in the new global context.
The National Palace didn’t say when Medina will return.
