Santo Domingo.- The head of the Mining Agency on Wednesday said once the miner Goldquest concludes drilling by mid-2014, the size of the gold deposit of its project at San Juan de la Maguana province (west) would be determined, prior to conducting and submitting ts feasibility study.
Alexander Medina said the miner had announced continued drilling through 2013 with four machines.
The official noted that although the mining law provides three years for exploration, the term can be extended to five years.
Goldquest’s find in San Juan is located in the Central Mountains, the same range of the Barrick Gold Pueblo Viejo site, one of the world’s biggest gold mines.
