A total 13 schools inaugurated just this week
San Francisco, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina cut the ribbons on five schools built at a cost of RD$172.0 million in Duarte Province (central), totalling 13 inaugurated just this week.
The opening ceremony was held at Hostos high school in Arenoso, where the Head of State scolded by phone the contractor for the stalled work several months ago.
Medina also inaugurated a high school in the villages Las Coles Abajo; one at El Cruce de Cenovi; one at La Jagua and another in the barrio of Villas Agricolas, Santo Domingo.
Duarte governor Miledys Núñez said the new schools will allow access to quality education even to children of the poorest families.
Education minister Carlos Amarante, and of Sports Jaime David Fernandez Mirabal attended the ceremony, among other officials and community leaders.
