Santo Domingo.– The second version of the National Quality Award of the Private Sector in the Dominican Republic (PNCRD) was officially opened  Wednesday night, to recognize excellence of Dominican companies engaged in the production of goods and services in a competitive environment, sustainable development and continuous improvement performance.

From now Dominican medium and large companies can apply for the award, which will be presented in October at a special event that will attended by leading authorities, business leaders and representatives of the various institutions comprised in the PNCRD.

The Prize has been awarded since 1992 under the name of Industrial Excellence Award; however, due to the requests made by different sectors, from 2012 on the Prize will be called National Quality Award of the Private Sector in the Dominican Republic.

Not in Today's D.R. Competitiveness is against the rules.
