Santo Domingo.- In the coming days president Danilo Medina will issue an Executive Order to convene the Economic and Social Council (CES), leading to talks prior to signing the pact on the energy sector.

Presidency administrative minister José Ramón Peralta made the announcement Tuesday, at the Dominican Republic Industries Association’s (AIRD) monthly breakfast.

The sectors linked to electricity have constantly demanded the signing of such agreement, aimed at resolving Dominican Republic’s seemingly eternal energy production crisis.

So a few signatures on a peace of paper will solve the problem of 10 powercuts yesterday? (yes. I counted them) I would like to know how the president wants to do that? Ruben Bichara does not seem to understand that in order to earn money to pay the very high electricity bills, we need electricity to do our jobs. Maybe Mr. Bichara should be replaced by a normal person, not as power hungry and megalomane.

Fire some of those political appointments Mr. President, they hurt you and they hurt the country. I know you do not have the balls to take the right decisions.
