The business climate here is one of the worse in the world, according to Forbes magazine. Mostly due to government regulations/bureaucracy , and a judicial system that allows for legal contracts to be changed in mid stride. Without solid laws that guarantees and binds all stipulated terms in a contract or a purchase, investors run the other way.
Government shenanigans perpetrated by the many who see only how best to line their pockets, rather than the overall good of our nation, are, by far, the biggest obstacle to progress and fast growth.

Thanks to state policies and the pressure of the legislation makers in our country, we have the problem that as you can violate any project, since with extortion, manipulation and bribery laws, just for the benefit of their pockets, the Dominican cables presented from wikileaks was bought by many Dominicans politicians that their name was showed in multiple acts of bribery on multiple cables and still not have to step on her tail.
