Fuel prices fall an 8th straight week, natural gas stays put

Santo Domingo..- Fuel prices have fallen for the eighth straight week, as much as RD$ 3.20 in some cases, while natural gas remains unchanged.

For the week from January 17 to 23, premium gasoline will cost RD$193.80, or RD$2.10 less, regular will cost RD$171.10, or RD$2.00 lower; premium diesel will cost RD$160.80 and regular diesel will cost RD$152.70, or RD$2.20 less per gallon on both.

Optimum diesel will cost RD$169.60, or RD$3.00 less; avtur will cost RD$3.10, or RD$101.70 less; kerosene will cost RD$134.10, or RD$3.20 lower and fuel oil cost RD$87.20, or RD$2.80 less per gallon.

Propane gas will cost RD$83.90, or RD$1.00 less per gallon, while natural gas stays at RD$31.44 per cubic meter.

The Central Bank’s average posted exchange rate of RD$44.57 per dollar was used to calculate all fuel prices.
