Dominican Republic, Cuba strengthen commercial ties

Havana.- The Dominican Republic and Cuba established the terms of reference for a joint study aimed at strengthening economic and commercial ties through a partial scope agreement.

According to Cuba’s news agency Prensa Latina, the commitment was included in a document signed by Cuban Deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ileana Nunez and Deputy Foreign minister Cesar Dargam.

A collaboration agreement was also signed Thursday between the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the Dominican Industrialists Association (AIRD) on the sidelines of a business forum, which was held at the Hotel Nacional in Havana.

The Dominican mission that took part in the negotiations included more than 40 executives of important firms and civil servants. "This is one of the largest business missions our country has sent abroad in the past few years, both for the number and the quality of its members," Dargam told Prensa Latina.
