RE: Haiti’s future: The Dominican vision.
Pedrod is missed here at least for this dominican. Whatever he is I know he is defending his country proud. He should know that he left a great legacy here for all true Dominican to follow.

Let me add an important video into this encyclopedia thread.

I started a thread with this video below on Friday exposing the Haitian R-V card. It lasted 30 minute with like 60 response to it before some anti-Dominican moderator decided to delete.
Cyberdragon posted my thread back under his name and it still there. Go figure

JUST THE WAY I SEE IT. THE PEOPLE RUNNING THIS SITE JUST WANT DOMINICAN WHO IS PACIFIST, HUMANIST, WORLD LOVER, AND COMMMIES, SOCIALIST. THEY HATE THE IDEA OF DOMINICAN WHO STAND WITH THEIR COUNTRY FIRST. THAT IS WHY MANY OF OUR PEOPLE HAD BEEN YANKED EVEN THOUGH THE HAITIAN TROLLS ARE THE ONE STARTING THE FIGHT. i WONDER IF THIS IS THE NORM IN HAITIAN WEBSITE? I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the board members of this site is that anti-Dominican writer who almost got lynched by our people who call himself Dominican Juan pinot or whatever his name is.

How come Dominicans always refer to Haitians in their country as invading....the only reason they are there is to feed their families back home.

Because it's a pacific invasion. Throughout history, it always plays this way:

They're there for opportunities, when their numbers are big enough, they declare open season on the host.

Why can't you guys build up your country, so you don't have to resort to illegal immigration?

This is hurting the job availability(Dominicans have to go to PR now), public education(overcrowded public schools), health care and housing(too many people). Overpopulation is never good. On top of that, The Haitians in DR are already 1/6 of the total population, it's just social downhill from here. A hobo who goes to your house to sleep every day is not an invader just because he needs somewhere to sleep?.

There are racial premises, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Although if Haiti suddenly turned mulatto somehow, they would be accepted, for the most part.

I don't know, every time the Black man is handed a great system or country, he just brings it down.
Rhodesia, South Africa, and Haiti are examples of this.

This thread has been spent. People are rehashing the same old stuff that had been addressed long ago. We have already established the following:

1) A rotten racist anti-Haitianismo ideology has infected the mind, psyche and soul of some Dominicans who have widely shown its strength, depth and doggedness on this thread.

2) Generoso, Micaela, Gizmo, Poponlaburra, Mirabal4ever etc decided the best solution to solve the Haitian immigration issue is to build a wall across the border.

3) Perod thinks the most practical solution is to develop the border area and move people there to act as a buffer against Haitian immigration.

4) Caonabohayti thinks the best solution is to have an open border policy where the governments of the two countries work together to resolve issues at whatever levels.

5) AfroLatino thinks the two countries can co-exist and work together for the common good of the inhabitants of the island.

Nobody is moving one-inch from these views. Pursuing this thread is useless at this time. Just move on!!!

The old Caonabohayti is back! With his tired old song.
The fact is that your responses have been spent, and your reasoning lacking and rusty, as usual. Whoever was posting for you before, had a better understanding of the problem.
There would be no need for this thread, or the likes of you, if you Haitians respected the sovereign border of Dominican Republic, and not only come here when you need something, or to come to take things that doesn't belong to you, or be your usual predatory selves, against nature and even the ocean and remove and destruct everything in your path.
I am really sick and tired of your same unimaginative and confused rabble, and you would really do us all a favor if you pack your bags, and take all your cousins with you.
Have a nice trip!

Generoso you forgot about the tap-tap needed for their transportation!

vacanos, as always, you are a very eloquent and intelligent individual.

Yes, indeed, Perod "Whatever he is I know he is defending his country proud". And he is missed.
Let's not forget that "El la Unidad esta la fuerza" We in this thread, we the ones who are defending our culture and country, should put aside our differences and work together for the cause.

RE: Haiti’s future: The Dominican vision.
I did not want to start a new forum, thought it was the appropriate one to post it.
Source: DR1:

Immigration neutralizes development
French political scientist Aymeric Chauprade said that the Dominican Republic would not be able to implement a development strategy to improve the lot of millions of its poor citizens as long as it continues to tolerate uncontrolled Haitian migration. He added that issues surrounding this problem are also generating negative publicity in the European Union. He said that, "all policies that try to get the poorest class into the middle class are going to be affected by this migration, and President Fernandez understands this perfectly."
Accompanied by Rosanna Pons, the Coordinator of Geopolitical Studies at the Global Democracy and Development Foundation (Funglode), Chauprade, a critic of United States foreign policy and a defender of the move towards the left currently under way in Latin America, said that the solution to the Haitian problem is not in the hands of the Dominican Republic or the United States, or even France.
He said that "the problem in Haiti is one of identity... and they won't find their political stability until they find their identity."

I agree with everything, I do not understand the identity part.... care to elaborate in what context the word "identity " is being thrown here, could it be a lost in translation issue. I will tell that Mr french arrogant to go and eat his "fromage" only France is reponsible for the mess they created first by importing too many slaves and second bankrupting a new country by imposing outlandish compensation, should they not accept some responsibilities ?
We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.

I noticed that there are a few Haitians here who have taken a defensive stance regarding the title of this thread. I, personally, believe that this discussion alone is a form of progress. We should be able to accept the constructive criticism that our Dominican counterparts are giving us, and apply it to our situation (Seeing as we have not made any significant progress since our independence). I respect those of you who have shown sincere concern for the progress and well being of Haiti...and though I am still young, I plan to use your advice to, hopefully, start the ball rolling toward a more productive and stable Haiti.

I hope the new generation has a better plan and modus operandi than the old one, as Haitians are used to going backwards instead of forward.
The old established Haitians and intellectuals have failed miserably to lead and direct the masses responsibly, and now they desire outside forces to come impose order as well as they keep sucking on the Dominican tit, with no end in sight.
New young leaders should emerge to fill the leadership vacuum in Haiti.

Well said Generoso, young Haitians need to take matters into their hands. Just like they did to get rid of the French, they need to unite their energies and numbers to change the fate of Haiti. Fight for your country and your future, dont follow the status quo.
