RE: Solutions and Suggestions for Haiti and Dominican Republic
I would rather not turn the discussion into a religious debate, and stick to the subject.
Regarding the idea of unification, the concept alone is so distasteful and I reject it with every cell in my body, and it will be equivalent to losing our country, our values and our history.

RE: Solutions and Trade for Haiti and Dominican Republic
Regarding increase trade with Haiti, and renewed tourism, I am all for it, provided it is done with a culture of respect and responsibility, following the laws of both countries. There has to be structures and clear demarcation lines in place at the border, and illegal immigration and leisure contraband crossovers have to be enforced and stopped, even with extreme measures, such as "shoot on sight" to discourage violators.

And why not? I believe that with extreme circumstances, requires extreme measures.
Besides one of the reasons the US supported dictatorships all over Latin America was because unfortunately, most natives don't understand reason and only through brute force to they seem to respond favorably. But of course with time those methods tend to backfire and eventually stops being effective, but it is a short term solution to a long term problem. Otherwise what choice do you have, what are the alternatives? Like my grandfather once quoted: "La paz viene de palo, y la tranquiladad viene de tranca."

RE: Solutions and Trade for Haiti and Dominican Republic
By invoking Sun Tzu's "Art of War" mantra: "Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain." , you are doing nothing but inciting Dominicans to commit mindless acts of violence against Haitians; similar to the barbarous actions of Generalissimo Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina perpetrated against innocent Haitians back in 1937.

I hope the Dominican people realizes that these kind of provocative writings only serve to perpetrate hatred in order to give the super powers the pretext they need to invade the whole island and do away with both governments, thus leaving deaths and destruction in their path.

Given the current situation, it is very obvious that something is amiss. A killing here, a decapitation there, people buried in mass graves, bured alive, arrested, beaten, raped, deported en-mass, the purchases of Apache Helicopters, the indoctrination of students not to forget the 24 years of occupations by Haitians, the glorious chants of revenge that will soon to come...etc., these acts have all the earmarks of someone laying the groundwork for a sanguine revolution, of unparalleled proportion.

Maybe by that time, Sun Tzu's Art of War tactics will come as a refreshing arsenal for both adversaries.

But then, ask yourself - Qui Bono?

Not the Dominicans and certainly not the Haitian people. It goes to figure that unless you are part of the plan to subvert both countries and plunge all of us under the overt slaving dominance of the United States or its Gurkhas, I beg of you to refrain and think before spewing such idiotic diatribes.

Stop playing so many video games and watching so many action movies, talking about subversion, Apache helicopters, invasion by superpowers, burying alive, what paranoiac fantasy mind do you get all this crap? Before you post more garbage, do us all a favor and give yourself an enema, then you will shrink to your real size, and you can be buried in a shoebox.
BTW Sun Tzu's book is recommended reading in business school's, but you wouldn't know that.
Also you flunked Haitian history saying the occupation was for 24 years instead of 22 dummy, but this being your first post, I smell troll here.
