Now their were residents who lived on the Eastern quarter of the island, but they were not Dominican specifically. So the targets of those attacks could have been anyone at the time. It was more so an attack towards the French than the Spainairds and mulattos who resided on the other side.. That's a bogus argument. They were our descendants. We are their sons, at least the ones that survived and they were people regardless. And they indeed where "Dominicans". The inhabitants of the former Spanish colony were referred to as "Dominicanos" well before the founding of the Republic. Check your facts. 'The past is never dead. These elite who control everything have the army and not to mention loads of money flowing from all over the world. The only thing the general pop has a couple of sitcks a machete or two and a heart of indignation. But thats not going to get very far against a sub-automatic or rocket launcher. An on going debate now in the Haitian American community is trying to petition for dual citizenship so us guys who are able to help can go down and offer maybe not millita style support for a rebellion, but maybe a new infrastructure or healthcare. That support so more Haitians on the homeland can start becoming uppwardly mobile their. The only reason it is not comming in waves is because we can't get down their and really invest the way we want to. But... that doesn't explain why Dominicans still feel the need to spit on Haitian's faces you mentioned their was nothing the haitians can do. thats why i mentioned the rebellion in the first place. |

Who do you think I'm talking about? What was the point of this thread. To get to the bottom of Dominicano resentment of Haitians TODAY. AS we know both sides have commited wrong doings that no people deserve. I just want to know what's up with today's Dominicans. Instead of making assumptions about "they're just rasict" I want to hear it right from you guys what you guys think your problem is with us. So far only one person has givin me a pretty straight answer. The fact you guys Dominican republic are being blamed for our problems. Would you agree that is the problem? |
