Great videos from a better time for Haiti during Lescott, Estimé, and Magloire. In 1957 both Haiti and DR started the economic crisis that hurt them both. But the DR recovered in the 70's and Haiti never did with the legacy and brutal government of Papa Doc Duvalier and his ton ton macoutes, that scared the investors and tourist industry that was just blooming in Haiti.

My mom have a friend she's his haitian but have White jamaicans roots in her father side ( I dont know why she's all white because her father was a light-skinned men). Her and his husband were forced to leave the country. They comeback years later and for the second time they were order to leave. It's sad because I dont think she's and her husband where never comeback home, they have all lost there, no family,no house,no cousin. Really sad.
