Interesting documentary sheds some light on this minority in the country.

Interesting topic, but it did not really state or provide any new information or shed light into the darkness. I have always known that white Haitians were and are still a minority. We know that they do exist but are few and far between. And although the video attempts to imply that white Haitians are no diffferent and just as Haitians as those who are of black African ancestry, the fact remains true, white Haitians are not well integrated into general Haitian culture, but rather are part of and belong to a very small select group of elites, who prefer to remain separate from mainstrean society and only marry within their race or with other European foreigners.

Those non-black Haitians that remain in Haiti do so primarily for economic interests or as long as their business remain profitable, otherwise they would pack up their bags and leave the next chance they get, on the next plane out of POP exactly what most of the white Haitians have done within the last 30 years. They belong to an entreprenuerial class such as shop keepers, business and store owners, they have nothing and very little in common with the everyday folks you meet on the street or the millions of impoverished masses, the vast majority of the people in Haiti.

Just look at their manerism, behavior, form of speech and how they carry themselves, totally different in more ways then one and not just only different in skin color. Nevertheless, I do appreciate the information, for me it just recomfirmed what I already knew. But for others it will be useful to those who are totally ignorant about the existence of white Haitians.

I do want to make one point, white Haitians should not get upset if people are surprised to see them, particularly if it is for the first time. It is a normal reaction to be surprised. I have met many mulatoe Haitians, but very few white Haitians, I can count them with one hand. Hell, there are places in Europe where people to this day still have not seen a black face. Should we be upset? No it is not their fault they never saw one. I have a co-worker from Austria, who say a black African for the first time when she was 15 years old and the person was a novelty in her village. Hey don't be mad or blame people because they have never seen something before.

Tiger I mean Kitty, just face the facts, those whites in Haiti are doing what they have always done, exploit the black Haitian masses and laugh all the way to the bank.
