Last I checked I was indeed Dominican. Ademas, Mrdom, usted debe sentirse orgulloso que tu pais le interesa a otra nacionalidades. Lautaro, what are you by the way?

Wow I am impressed….. now I understand why you guys come to a Dominican site to post and talk...... (You became your Haitian site in what you are turning our site into)
Well, I understand now why Haiti is in the conditions it is right now…

MrDom, as much as I would like to disagree with you. You have a point. Again, my apologies. I am not here to engage into words with anyone. I can tolerate someone claiming a nationality that he isn't to feel some since of comfort in his own skin. He even appears as if he jumps out on his haitian suit to put on his other halves and go on a spree. A real philanthropist doesn't even put his/her name out there rather stay incognito. There is alot of home cleaning that needs to be done that's for sure before we can think of criticising others. Do you accept him as a dominican? No..Well, I have to accept him as a haitian even if he doesn't want it. This is want decent haitians have to deal with. You can deny them but we unfortunately have to accept them but before they most get a severe "cocotazos" for roaming off path. I still have love for this young man despite his rants and evil spirit. Hopefully he'll reform and become a productive citizen that doesn't boast and go beyond himself. Guys, seriously there a some sick haiitians and dominicans on this site. Does proverty breed demented minds?

Not at all Jabao. MrDom has shown himself to be a receptive and respectful poster. Nothing but love for the young man.

As incredible as it may sound to some, I´m dominican, from La Capital, no less (and also a furious liceista, LOL.)

"yo sentia un gran respeto por ti"

Su respeto no me hace falta, niño, y mucho menos su opinion distorsionada. Te falta mucho para caminar para tu poder llegar al nivel necassario para mantener una conversacion en serio con un hombre como yo.
I spoke to soon. It's odd how people come on here and get personal without the other party initiating anything of the sort. All the cowards of the world must feel liberated because of this thing we call the web.

RE: How is living in Haiti?
I have learned alot from this debate which unfortunately turned into insults.

1) Haitians are proud people but are not united.
The few upper class wants nothing to do with the massive lower class citizens. If Haiti never unites it will never go anywhere. You can't look down upon the poor and think you are better than them. I've seen for my eyes in DR, Haitians going to the Univerisities in DR and looking down upon there compatriots who sell agua de coco, construction workers, etc...

2) Haitians like to pick sides. If you are Haitian-Dominican, Haitian-Cuban, it's up to you to decide which side you lay on. It all depends on how you are raised. Dominican mother is going to teach to be Dominican, and a Haitian father, I'm sure if he is in your life will teach you to be Haitian. It depends on which side is prevalent but in reality, you are both and will represent both regardless. I don't think it'a fair to say Hispanolo is Haitian or Dominican, it all depends on how he was raised.

3) There is a lot of talk here on issues in Haiti but no one is really doing anything about it. That's human nature, I guess, but only with action things will change.

4) A side, Haitans and Dominicans don't really know each other. The whole language thing is definitely an issue. It's like two different worlds man. There needs to be a better interchange btwn both countries so Dominicans can learn about Haitians. The poor mass which dominates both countries need to know about each other.

Hispanolo, is not crazy or ignorant. I mean maybe his delivery is not the best with postings that come off militant and are excessively long. However, I think he has made valid points. He has actually done alot for the island which is probably more than than anyone on this forum who only talk about issues and solutions but are not contributing. If we want change, we must do something about it. Like a fellow poster said, we can't rely on the gov't for change.
