MANY PEOPLE GIVE HAITI A BAD NAME BUT IT IS ONLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN TO MY WONDERFUL COUNTRY. ALTHOUGH IT SOUNDS BAD IT IS QUITE GOOD, SO I ASSURE YOU ALL THAT IF YOU GO TO HAITI YOU WILL WANT TO COME BACK. THE PEOPLE ARE QUITE FRIENDLY( DESPITE WHAT PEOPLE SAY) AND THE FOOD THERE IS DELECTIBLE .SO CONSIDER GOING TO HAITI AND YOU WILL SEE THAT ALL THOSE RUMORS ARE NOT TRUE. |

This is more like it, Dominicans and Haitians getting along and talking civilized. On the other hand that other post (Never go against a Haitian when death is on the line) everybody is at each other and saying hateful words. Me personlay I like Meringue and Bachata thats some good stuff. I never get tired of it. Also living in Haiti I was born there, but I came to the U.s when I was 3, but i been there recently and its Beautiful, yes there are some bad parts, But there is Mostly beautiful parts there and I just wished people wouldnt look at the bad side. We should all get along, I believe if we do that Hispanola wouldnt have all these conflicts and things. But im a kid, I might be worng. But all in I have no problems with my Dominicans and No problems with my Haitians. They are GREAT!!!! Dana Smili3 |

From what some acquaintances of mine have told me, the southern peninsula have more beautiful and interesting places to see than the north, specially the towns of Jacmel and Jeremie, and the lovely Ile-a-Vache. After all is part of "our" island, but I will tell you that I never go over there disarmed and never in my life I would be there disarmed. I found really nice that our neighbors invite so happily the whole world to their country, but for being honest they should also warn them that they must be very, very careful. That truly would be honest. It would be great that the Haitians work for making Haiti a safe destiny but that is not the case right now. |

Speaking of Jeremie, I met a HOTTIE from that very town a few weeks back. Edited on 6/17/2009 9:23 AM by Lautaro.
