French Guiana: a great settlement for haitian illegals
I stumbled upon an interesting blog related to a controversial movie documentary, about alleged abuses towards haitian sugarcane workers in the Dominican Republic. The name of the documentary film is The Price Of Sugar. As i read the article i happened to notice the mentioning of a country located in South America, French Guyana. The blogger smartly pointed out the sparsely populated country as one being the perfect candidate for introducing the scourge of illegal haitians that are presently living in the D.R. illegaly, as a perfect land mass to relocate haitians. With a country of ample size and an overseas department under french governance and supervision it wouldn't be a bad idea to encourage the powers that be namely France to diplomatically agree to such arrangement, what do you think posters bad idea? good idea?

I think that emigration for haitians into the french administered French Guiana a country with deep similarities in culture and language, will alleviate tensions and the constant complaints from haitians and N.G.O's that profit from negative propaganda at the expense of another country, namely the Dominican Republic. Here's the national flag of French Guiana.

In my humble opinion i think is a good idea, but there is one problem.

The people of French Guyana will not accept the load of human gangrene coming to their unique rain forest, they are not stupid at all.
one look at the western side of the island of Hispaniola via google earth and the deal is off.

LightOfTruth, Said Thanks for you're input Trinitario but i think the hipocrisy coming from goverments like France blaming the Dominican Republic for virtually enslaving haitians is grotesque and unethical (The Price Of Sugar). When France is historically accounted for Haiti's misery, not only did they bring an overwhelming amount of slaves there, but after the haitians became independent from France. France forced Haiti to pay an indemnity, it's only fair if France can allocate haitians in a country with plenty of land space and resources. Haiti is a hopeless case where theirs no real solutions it lacks many things, the Dominican Republic is paying for the sins of France and Haiti combined, is time to defend our patrimony no matter what. LightOfTruth, Said True you got a point, but France is governing the newly adopted country not Haiti so the factor of deforestation will not exist as in the case of Haiti. Where people were not supplied with cooking gas. That's why Haiti's forest have been depleted because of goverment corruption and carelessness.
