I stumbled upon an interesting blog related to a controversial movie documentary, about alleged abuses towards haitian sugarcane workers in the Dominican Republic. The name of the documentary film is The Price Of Sugar. As i read the article i happened to notice the mentioning of a country located in South America, French Guyana. The blogger smartly pointed out the sparsely populated country as one being the perfect candidate for introducing the scourge of illegal haitians that are presently living in the D.R. illegaly, as a perfect land mass to relocate haitians. With a country of ample size and an overseas department under french governance and supervision it wouldn't be a bad idea to encourage the powers that be namely France to diplomatically agree to such arrangement, what do you think posters bad idea? good idea?

I am all for it.

Since those stupid (and let's not forget COWARDS) French like to talk so much, let them find a solution to the problem.

Let them take all Haitians living illegaly in the DR and even as a tryout, relocate them to French Guiana.

Let's see how much they like it after a few years!.

Let's see how fast they send them back.

Great idea... let the French handle the Haitians Issue

LightOfTruth, Said Carlos i want to push this idea down the throats of the scummy french people for being a bunch of hypocritical bastards. This piece of real estate is perfect to be inhabited by haitians. In fact i will consider this a counterpoint against anyone that feel that we should for some stupid reason, carry the heavy burdensome cross that Haiti represents. When France is the number one culprit or root cause why Haiti is such a mess, basically they brought all those slaves there they should be made responsible for the condition they started.

I think it's great idea worth exploring it's a huge country and almost empty they speak creole and french the number of Haitians from DR or Haiti to be transfered to french Guyna to be decided. I hate the french when they start blaming the Dominican, and conveniently completely excuse themselve from the problem, is over the top.I believe they international communities should realize that France have an active role to play, they have created the mess. Someone should be pushing this actively at high level in the DR government. Let's see how these hyprocrite french fries coward will respond.

LightOfTruth, Said We need to push this idea on all four corners of the world, write to the Leonel goverment and request that haitian illegals be deported to French Guiana, afterall Haiti brought many riches and wealth to France through unpaid labor of slavery and death. France is time to face the music.

FRENCH GUIANA FLAG LOOKS FRENCH ? THE REASON IT'S A FRENCH ADMINISTERED TERRITORY

WAIT A SECOND THEY ALSO HAVE THIS FLAG AS I POSTED EARLIER IN THE THREAD, ALTHOUGH THE FRENCH FLAG IS THE OFFICIAL FLAG OF THE COUNTRY

LightOfTruth, Said Thanks..... There's a solution to Haiti's status as a failed state and French Guiana has ample land space and small population for emigration purposes. More importantly is governed by France so haitians will not corrupt and destroy the ecology.

RE: French Guiana: a great settlement for haitian illegals
PAPILLON: French Guiana is the site where they filmed one of my favorite films Papillon, the movie is about a prison escape. The prison was located on an island near French Guiana's coastline named Devils Island. The film is based on true events, Henri Charriere wrote the book and he is the real Papillon. Steve McQueen was the actor that played Papillon and Dustin Hoffman played his close prison friend Dega. If you haven't seen this movie i recommend you rent or buy is worth it.

I think that the French need to help Haitians out, but remember Haitians need to find solutions for HAITI!
