Tu estás enojado conmigo. I have blown your cover and you didn't realize that you've been "busted". What happens when you are out of character? You are a genealogist, professeur, linguist and a number of other things. Is it me or this character seems to have different personalities. Graduated from Sorbonne...The wonder of the internet, people can become scholars with a click of a search engine. The sad thing is people with common sense see right thru you my friend. You can fool some people sometimes, but you can't fool all the people all ... Are you satisfied with the life you're living?” Bob Marley Here I thought Rubi was a unique figure. Shaking my head at the lengths people go thru. Let me guess, you have attended the gala at the presidential palace and have received a life time achievement award at the White House. I give it to you though, you're a witty bloke only if you can manifest that into the real world. ¿Que fue Señor sabeloto'? Wow, calling names is elementary my dear friend. I will gladly take that title.."El mono" con orgullo.. What shall we call you? I will let others give you a nickname. You thought that was going to get me upset? I told you I am secure in myself..no victims here..play that card somewhere else. Jabao Record 2-0 with a possiblity of a TKO. Frank you are an instigator..LOL You know jabao...you are the worst sort of Haitian. You have an intractible belief that any Dominican who knows his shit is obviously faking it. In your mind, it is impossible to be an academic and a Dominican at the same time. I suppose you also believe that Junot Diaz plagiarized his book and never attended MIT. That speaks volumes to your hatred of our people. Edited on 4/30/2008 2:06 PM by muchacho. |
Frankly, its a waste of time considering that this thread is about a railroad. My post that ignited his inferiority complex was never even about his people or his ancestry. It was about...and I repeat...the shoddy scholarship of the authors of another website. But like NY4Life astutely pointed out...there does seem to be a very thin skin among some people when Dominicans discuss their origins. Let me remind some people that we are discussing our origins and they should really be more interested in theirs and leave us to debate ours.
I agree with Muchacho a 100%. It's a waste of time to argue this but I think it has to be done. Haitians can't come debate who Dominicans are. That's up to us to say who we are. Haitians want Domincans to say Yes we are 100% African or Black like Haitians and don't have an ounce of Taino or European blood. I mean if that's how Haitians feel than go ahead. and celebrate the African culture. Dominicans obviously don't feel that way. We celebrate our euro, taino, and to a lesser degree african blood. I think to Haitians dislike we don't celebrate mother Africa like they want us too. I mean so what, get over it. That's how are as Dominicans and its not up to Haitians to view us as being wrong or right. We have been a people since 1844. We have evolved over time and we are Dominicans. It didn't happen the other day or 20 years ago. We have been Dominicans for over 100 years, let us be. Euro, taino, and african blood, leave it up to us to decide who we want to celebrate. Just like Haitians have their right to choose African/black so do Dominicans. y YAAA Papa.
NY4life, I just happen to notice something about ONE particular character and here goes the haitian vs dominican issue. I have notice you've been reading a bit too into this. You can be black as midnight white like snow and how ever you want to label yourself is your perogative. The character is going to email his long lost cousin from Extremadura.. I mean you think this guy is serious..Dios mio..can you please right back their response. I think I struck a nerve he is correcting my typos..Anyway, carry on..one thing is this post has jumped off track.. Now where were we? Shaking my head that you can't see thru this BS. I blew his cover now he is asking what am I doing on a dominican site..Hello do you know how many haitians call dominican republic home...sorry if I embarrassed you..really wasn't my intentions..you should've known better what the hell were you thinking.. |

And have in the past called him out and corrected him on his views. But there is one thing I understand about the boy and that is his insistent and persistent belief that if Haitians cared as passionately about their people as they do about pressing their racial agenda on Dominicans, they'd be agitating where it counts...back home. |
