Visitors Visa to Canada - advise needed!
I live in Canada. My girlfriend lives in the Dominican. I want her to come visit me in Canada. She has applied once for a visitors visa but was rejected on the grounds of no stable income (unfortunately, because of the economy she lost her job).

I spoke with an immigration specialist in Canada. She told me that the Canadian authorities seldom give out visitors visa to Dominicans. She also said that only way my girlfriend would be able to come to Canada is if I married her in the Dominican and then brought her back here. I care for my girlfriend very much, but that is a drastic step at the moment. I want to take it one step at a time.

I know my girlfriend is not a threat of being an illegal immigrant. She has a daughter in the Dominican and she would never leave her daughter.

Can anyone give me advice on how to get a visitors visa for my girlfriend?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Wondering

Make her an official crew member of crew of your( or someone elses ) yacht and sail in.
Find a Doincan Co who will for a small fee take her on an export executive. Then apply for a businesss visa.
Get her another passport.
Marry her and have a quickie divorce in Haiti.
A unilateral divorce is possible in Haiti.

He will have to pay the entire school costs before the school gives him a letter of acceptance. Also, she will have to prove that she has some $$$ in the bank, real estate, cars, a job, or any assets that can prove that she will not stay in Canada and will have to go back to DR. They also might make you purchase the return flight before they approve the visa, and she will need a Dominican passport.

But she can fall asleep during 3 hour English lessons and earn 400 dollars a week as a waitress.
So more than she can earn on a yacht. Canada is desperately short of waitresses.
