Ha ha ha ha !!! How pitiful and laughable are you hateros. One day you descent from the poor, weak and miserable Tainos, and the other you want to steal the name of our country and turn it into yours. Your identity crisis is more acute than I previously thought. What's next? As I know you, sooner you will appropriate yourself the ownership of the story of the whole island, and shamelessly tell the world thant it was you the dumb-minicans who beat the French, the Spanish and the British and liberate the slaves. You might as well be tempted to tell your kids that Toussaint Louverture was a mixed Taino/negro and that he was a Dominican. Unfortunately, you will never be able to catch up with history.

By the way, I thought you had gutt and personality, I was mistaken. In fact, you are like little school children who always love to hear some nice stories before going to wet their bed at night, or they'll keep crying and howling at their annoyed parents. Let your moderator keep deleting the posts that slam the truth to your face. In fact, that's where lies the difference between you and us : we can sustain heavy casualties without blinking, while you are ready to shed all the tears in your body for a simple blow on the ass. Keep dreaming and lying to yourselves, the reality check you'll get when you wake up will not be exchangeable in no way. Get yourself your own name, this island one, according to the Arrawaks and Caribes is a trinitary one and it is Haiti, Quisqueya, Bohio, get it? And our ancestors have made it crystal clear that's what it is and will be for ever. Ha ha ha ha! Can't you, pitiful children of a lesser god, realize that you are almost two centuries late fro trying to adopt a name which is not yours in any way? No wonder that your ancestors were pirates and murderers.

Ha ha ha ha ha! What a bunch of chicken feet! You should write a Vaudeville satyre with your pretentions ha ha ha ha ha, please somebody help me! It is too laughable Ha ha ha ha ha!!

Look who's talking, the gutless coward that doesn't have the balls to come to the island and live the BS that he preaches. What's wrong, sissy? Are you afraid that a chimere, a ton ton macoute or a neo-macoute of the FRAPH will finally get your cowardly arse and give you the "Pere Lebrun" treatment that you so richly deserve, troll? Better yet, why don't you man up and come to our country and tell us your BS to our faces? It seems that cowards like you can only get something resembling testicular fortitude only when they're behind a PC.

Time for a history lesson. My ancestors did indeed engage, and defeat, the French, the English, and the Spanish at various times during our history. We beat the British in an attempted invasion in 1655, after which the British put their tail between their legs, left the island, and decided to take the less fortified Spanish colony of Jamaica instead. The rest is history. Look it up. As for the french: The Dominicans were the last to engage the French militarily on the island in 1808 in what is now known as the Battle of Palo Hincado, some five years after the Battle of Vertieres, the last major engagement involving French and Haitian troops. Look it up. True, Santana gave the country to the Spaniards once again but it was from the beginning an unpopular move amongst the masess and one which resulted in Spain being soundly thrashed, so much so that the Spanisrds have practically excercised all mention of the War from Restoration from their official records even though the event lead to the fall of the O'Donnell government in Madrid and would influence events in Spain's remaining Spanish colonies in the Caribbean. Look it up. As for pirates and murderers know this: if it wasn't for the fact that the Spanish authorities were never able to subjugate the pirates that operated out of Tortuga island there would be no Haiti. Haiti began as a bastard French colony that was populated by pirates. Look it up.

The sad thing about it all, cib, is that morons like him always try to deny us all those laurels by saying: "They were done by the spaniards", while claimming credit for the siege of Savannah in the war of US independence, notwithstanding the fact that the people of colour in that siege were all FRENCH SUBJECTS, and despite the fact that the aforementioned siege was a complete disaster for the cause that those people were serving. Also they claim glory for Du Sable's establishment in Illinois, despite the fact that he was a FRENCH SUBJECT also at the time. If those are not the highest show of hypocrisy and double standards, then I don't know what they are. Our victory over the brits in 1655 have even more significance, cuz' if it weren't for it, perhaps the island would be part of the British Commonwealth today just like Jamaica (after spending the majority of its existence as another sugar exploitation colony), if not something worse. Our victory spared the sugar nightmare for the island for half a century (in the case of Haiti) and two centuries and a half in our case. Plus, we had the ever lasting glory of defeating the battle hardened troops of Oliver Cromwell, the so called "Ironsides", which were believed to be invincible up to that time. And all of it without receiving a single penny of aid from the metropolis (cuz' this last one was at the time at war with the France of Louis XIV).

Poor idiots,

Who was your history teacher, a brainless peep? If you had so great military victories, why did you need Toussaint Louverture, Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Jean-François and Biassou to get hired by your king in order to defeat the French that were about to overun and take the whole country from you?.

Besides, after soundly and swiftly defeating the French, those latter went to beg our Great Toussaint to help them get rid of the British and the Spanish who were occupying almost the whole colony they founded in the 1600s. It is after beating everybody : the french, the Brits and finally you that he conquered the whole island, remember? And the very first thing he did as governor of the new country was to open and build a highway from Santo Domingo to Laxavon. Did your history prof ever teach you about that? Your lack of real facts and your wishful desire to descend from an extinct people is really pathetic. At least you could have chosen the Arrawaks or the Caribes, for those were much more of a fighter than the poor and indolent Tainos.

My friends, if I had an advice to give to you, it would be to stop making fools of yourselves, for only your illiterate population with gulp your false pretention. In fact, the only people you defeated in this island were the indians that you slaughtered like sheeps and that now you want to tell the world that they were your ancestors. Ho ho ho ho ho, ha ha ha ha ha!! it is too laughable, somebody help me please. No, we Haitians, are negroes from mother Africa wiith a little mix of French and indian blood. What about you? Taino? Arrawaks? Caribes? Ha ha ha ha haaaaa!!! my ass, give me a break and get a life will you buddies?

1- If your army was so "high and mighty", the why Boyer accepted to pay an independence debt to the french on the 1830's? how come they refused to maintain what was gained 30 years back by the tip of the sword?

2- Was it because of the fact that, not having any war against the brits, the french had the seas free to send their inmense armies to bombard your arses into oblivion?

3- How come your "mighty armies" were so thoroughly beaten up by a little rag-tag army of "hateros" (with your negs outnumbering the hateros 10-1) from 12 years straight (1844-1856), eh jackass? Admit it, fool, without the yellow fever to aid you, your paper tigers are nothing. A fact that was put at the forefront not so long ago on 1994, when a single US squad put your "leopards" to run like the chickens they are. Where were your mighty soldiers then, misie? LOLOLOLOL

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones young man....the highest illiteracy rates in the hemisphere are among your countrymen, so please, stop right there. Secondly, you have refuted nothing that was said with anything concrete. Indeed the Spanish did procure the services of the men you named but it was hardly to protect the Spanish territory on the island, it was in an effort to DRIVE the French from their side and that's a fact. Touissant did not invade Dominican territory until he was firmly in the French camp once again and only after the Peace of Basel had been signed, by which time the former Spanish colony of Santo Domingo was legally handed over to the French which makes your whole reason for the men you named being in Spanish service moot. And again, since you seem to be a little challenged when it comes to reading comprehension, the LAST French troops in Hispaniola were defeated by Dominicans under Sanchez Ramirez in the Battle of Palo Hincado which took place in 1808. No other battles or engagements with French forces took place on either side of the Rio Masacre after that and that's a fact so the truth is the WE, yes the Dominican people, were the ones that finally expelled the French from the island. No, we didn't want to be French, either.

Gizmo You are correct Cibaeño75, Toussaint Louverture decided to render his services to the Spanish of Santo Domingo in 1793 to drive out the French from there territory. The Spanish and British were allies in Europe against Napoleon, and the plan that the Spanish and British agreed to was for the British to take over the French one quarter portion of the island. Shortly after the French persuaded Toussaint to join there ranks after seeing the British army advance in the battlefield.
