I lived on Cauldwell Ave in the late 70's, went to PS 51 and PS 157- One of my childhood friends was a Puerto Rican, Pedro Espada who later as an adult become a local Bronx politician. Our building was located near the prospect, simpson, 3rd ave elevated subway train stops. I dont remember if it was the 241 or the 242 train. I will have to ask my mother she would remember. Our family use to buy our "furnitura" at Frank P. Diaz Store on westchester Ave. Which I coincidentally bumped into one of his daughters in Miami now married to a Cuban business man.
