Very violent and brutal killings are reported almost every day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptIgIdN5VPg (This video is a less disturbing version of the earlier one which was also deleted because of its very ugly pictures...) The Dominican Republic is the fifth most dangerous country in respect to violent killings (about 25 per 100,000 inhabitants). m'frog Edited on 2/25/2009 9:33 AM by mountainfrog. I'm in the military and have had to respond to many incidents world wide. The problem I have is that in this video they've stripped the man naked, beat him, and know want to take his last hand away from him. That's being treated worse than an animal. I haven't been to DR in over 15 years but I didn't know they hated Haitians that much. This vendetta they have against Haitians is gonna be a big international embarrassment for DR watch and see. As we say "La cosa tan fea pa' la foto". |

In that case the victims were Europeans. The Dutch man was beaten to death and his German wife was gang raped by the criminals. As far as I know no arrests have been made. m'frog Everything goes its Caribbean way. www.dr101.info |

Your other video wasn't as bad since it wasn't filmed with someone laughing in the background. Yeah I know life can be seriously ugly but the last country I live in where they chopped your hands of for stealing was Saudi Arabia. In the middle east they will even behead you but we here in the western hemisphere look at it as a bit inhumane. Oh well I pray for his soul knowing he didn't deserve this type of mutilation. |
