Where were you when the NY Stock Market crashed in 1987?
On Monday-October 19, 1987

I was working at Budget Rent A Car at Pier 61 (Main Location) @ West 23 St. & 12th Ave. NY, NY.

Only a few days prior to that fateful day I had interviewed for a Customer Service Representative (Car Rental Agent) post with Budget R.a.C.; I was at the time working at HPD (NYC Dept. of Housing Preservation & Development) at Maiden Lane in Lower Manhattan (3 blocks from the Stock Exchange), but, I wanted to get away from a desk job in an office; So, I accepted the job offer from Budget.

Man, did I pick the wrong time to switch jobs!
I almost became a victim of the Crash of "87.

P.S. Also, I was living in the upper West Side, on Amsterdam Ave.; Just blocks from 96 St. & Bwy.
