Business is very easy in the DR. Many foreign nationals make it big time. Huge unexpoited resources exist - the people, the land, the proximity to major markets - US and Europe - Russia.
The inernal market of the carrib is massive also.
It is very difficult to fail with the tremendous riches the land has to offer!

Nothing to do with colonialism. Swiss dairy farmers in the DR produce excellent milk that helps the health of Domican children. Fish farms with non DR expertise pproduce delicious nutritious fish.

Merely saying there are "huge unexploited resources" that exist is not going to cut it with me. How about a few examples for us novices.

Many examples:
coconut products are big time world wide.
Commercial pressure led by US multinationals with tycoons in New York have reduced demand. Buth there is a resurgence in demand. Today I had a thai style seafood curry based on Dominican coconut. Delicious!
