Location: India Join date: August 2009 Member #: 3495 Posts: 50 | Well, if we look at the Island DR its dominatinglly a tourism based economy, There might be many other opportunities in areas like Agriculture, IT, Infrastructure, Finance...........there are few big players like Donald Trump who is investing in CAPCANA and there is Mr Gaetan Bucher betting big time on IFCA.... so there might be other opportunities......... Lets talk Business........ |

The business should have inclusive growth attached to it....... I've heard that Dominicans are Hard Working fellows and the farming sector is not 100% capitalized as there is less of support by the government, but there are certain venture capitalists who are big time banking on the Telecom sector which is the new golden bird........... |

Cubans I believe are missing the big bite by been able to capitalize on the US market...here DR is eating major chunk of future revenues also. Many resorts like Puntacana and Capcana are coming up with innovative which have proved successful business models..... |
