I recently published a book about my move to the Dominican Republic and the many things that shocked me. I write about a lot of my experiences and what I have learned over the past couple years... a lot of patience... Many of the stories are hilarious! I am interested in getting the book into some shops in resorts and possibly the airports around the country. Any suggestions or referrals would be appreciated! You can either respond to this post or email me at the address listed on the site. You can see the book at www.MovingtoDR.com Thanks in advance! In many ways easier than moving to France, Germany or Turkey. It's really a shame people come up with such rubbish........ then try to extract money for it from their compatriots. Shows what greed can do... S. Edited on 12/2/2009 6:12 PM by abc200. |

If you visit my site you will see that I wrote, “This book is about how I decided to move to the Dominican Republic and maintained a first world income. Looking back it was not all that difficult. I did learn a lot of lessons but the process was fun!” That quote is on almost EVERY SINGLE page of the site. Also, during the time I have lived in the Dominican Republic, I have published many articles and pictures with the intent of making people laugh and hoping to show the real life side of this beautiful country. Check out some of the great content here: www.movingtodr.com/drpictures.html I mean seriously, where else in the world can you see a family of SIX PEOPLE riding on one moto? Where else will you see two 60+ year old dudes standing on the top of the bed of a truck to hold a pile of junk in that is literally taller than they are while the driver happily drives down the Malecone, which is a three lane thoroughfare? Or, even better yet, where else on this great planet can you see a guy carrying around a live goat that looks like a backpack while he happily rides down the road on a bicycle. (Yep, that one is on my site too… and I should warn you not to be drinking anything when you look because you’ll lose the entire beverage through your nose when you see this picture!) Before anyone else writes such rubbish about me please at least check it out… www.MovingtoDR.com Now, if you see something on the site that makes your blood boil let me know… I often tell people who comment on my work… "without critics there is no success so I appreciate your taking the time to comment on MY work!" Now back to my original post… Does anyone here know of any shop owners or resort owners who would be interested in helping sell my book? Thanks in advance! ~ www.MovingtoDR.com Favorite Quote: “In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln |

We are getting spaced out - I only make the point that if you have all this wisdom why not post if for free and ask for donations for the 50 dollars it takes to maintain the web site a year plus donations to charity? I do not have the book but any advice can surely be found on dr1.com etc. Families on motorbikes can be found in many countries. S. |
