Since i'm the only spanish speaker and Dominican native i told my boss that DR was a great busines spot for what we do because of energy cost being high and "return of investment" ROI would be low. I know we hav apagones and thats not really an issue since is about the same price wether you run a generator or local electricity we will produce saving anywhere from 10 to 20 percent Kilowatts reductions and all this is guarantee. Florida State University has just finished the 1 yrs test with results of 14 percent savings in KW. Energy reduction varies from case to case but is always around 10 to 20 percent. My question is does any of you guys know of a good sales guy in the island. by the way i'm willing to travel there for training if necesary is very simple process and we have completed almost 30,000 installs on this product world wide from Australia to China to USA and the caribbean. I know energy cost in DR is up there and our opportunity in the island is huge but i have yet to tap into this market. If i find the right person i'm willing to travel and stay ther for as long as needed for training purpose. What do you guys think i need to be aware of as far as bringing the equipment into the island. by the way is small microprocessors and stuff like that not anything bigger than a 12x12x20 inches box. Others (even businesses) pay some "macuteo" to the power guy to bypass the meter or have it altered. How can kW's be reduced? I'd try it with a few units first. Those could be shipped with any of the mailing servces (eps, mbe, etc). They do all the customs clearings and stuff valued under 200 $ is free of duties. m'frog Everything goes its Caribbean way. www.dr101.info |

I say: We do logging to verify the reduction of KWH and our savings are based on promise that we deliver and if we can';t acomplish this we will simply leave and you won't owe us a dime. Our equipment is mostly toward big hotel and bussines which all pay the electric bill. This something that benefits both the power company and our customers. This would depend on the type of merchandise as goods have different percentages. You might want to employ an agent as some have good connections and also should be able to inquire the costs before the importing is done (which does not necessarily mean that you're not up for surprises in the end). This may also help: http://www.dga.gov.do/dgagov.net/ m'frog Everything goes its Caribbean way. www.dr101.info |
