Tup a warning ... I had once a fine collection downloaded from torrent websites over many years, approaching 80 gigs of the finest fights 1990-2000s and older classics. I never backed it up and lost it all. a terrible blow. so as you digitize your collection take all necessary precautions!

That said I may take you up on your offer if you have a secure way to trade a few files. I'll just need a few obscure fights to start my collection, because on the torrent sites they tend to be nazis about bringing something to the table before you can dload.
Thanks for the warning but I don't think you read the post completely.

I RECORDED them on VHS tapes, while watching them.

Now I am in the process of transfering those VHS tapes into DVD's using a DVD/VCR Combo.

Tupapaupa, make sure you still keep those old vhs tapes. digital is notorious for its ability to self erase. i recorded some of my old 33rpm jazz albums onto cd, with the use of a megabuck Tascam analog to digital converter. lo and behold, after listening to the cds a few times, they mysteriously went blank. i grant you that digital has come a long way, but i am still an analog fan. all the best minds in the audio fraternity are still trying to build a cd player that can sound as good as a turntable, and they will probably be for a long time to come.

Ah OK Tup, I forgot those VCR/DVD combos exist. I was assuming you were doing VHS to PC to DVD.

8 time world champ in 7 different weight classes.

If Hearns didn't have a glass jaw...we'd be talking about him as one of the top three boxers of All Time, regardless of weight classification.

RE: DT.com Boxing Lounge: Klitschko vs. Chagaev
if you have a glass jaw you can get to the top of boxing, but only if you recuperate quickly or fight hurt like hearns. in ufc a lot of the wrestlers and jiujitsu players when they get hit on the chin are out cold, hospital status. these guys im talking about are asleep before they hit the floor. even the ten count wouldn't save them! but at least jiujitsu guys have instinct to tie you up as they fall.

w klitschko can recuperate, showed it against sam peter. his problem is he is gun shy, and instead of letting his hands go he only wants to jab jab grab.

Ooooh, believe me, Brodel, I am keeping those tapes boxed in my attic.

About something that sounds as good as a turntable.......wellll.....something WAS invented.

Remember something that didn't quite picked-up.......The Mini-Disc Player/Recorder?.

Well, I have a Sony and let me tell you, when you record an LP into a Mini Disc, holy molly, it's sounds, in my opnion, about 98% as good as the original.

I LOOOVE it beuase you can set the speed and you can actually record about 60-70 songs on ONE Mini Disc.

GREAT STUFF.

They have been around for a little while, as I know you know.

It's amazing how excited I still get when watching those fights again, while I record them.

Let me tell you my opinion about Hearns.

If he weren't so fricking "in a hurry", wanting to knock everybody out in the first round, with his height, reach and talent, he could've been, BY FAAAAAAAAAAAR, the best boxer that ever lived!.

That's my opinion about The Cobra.

What he did to Duran, holly shit, was AMAZING.

5 minutes after getting off the canvas, Duran was still asking "what happened, is the fight over already?".

hearns dint have a glass jaw totally although i do agree to an extent. even when his weak jaw was tested against juan roldan he managed to hold an survive an then end up knocking him out. duran getting knocked out by hearns is a combination of two things. one the fact that styles make fights an two once duran fought at welterweight moving up from lightweight he dint train as seriously like he should and it showed against hearns. hearns had such a beautiful right hand picture perfect. remember also that duran was a middleweight champion. papa let me quiz you who did he beat to win the middlweight title? yumnuk you are welcome to answer also
