That one guy that got punched and decided it was best to kneal by the corner..LOL...classic. Reminds me of the time I punched some jerk in a handball court and I saw him take three steps back while trembling before he hit the pavement..LOL..ahh, the good old days

By far, the best athlete that came out of Nicagarua.

One of my all times favorites.

With a reacord or 80 plus wins and only 8 defeats, if not mistake, a few years ago was name one of the best, ever, in his division.

I remember as if it was yesterday Ruben Olivare's saying, while being interviewed after his fight with Arguello:

"Before the fight someone approached me and offered me 50,000 dollars to take a dive. Had I known Arguello was going to give me such a beating and knock me out, I wouldn've taken the darn money".

RE: DT.com Boxing Lounge: RIP Nicaragua's Alexis Arguello 82-8 (65) 3x champion
82 - 8

just look at that record; men of this caliber no longer exist in boxing. our p4p champs are all done by 40 fights, and many retire after just a couple of losses. hard to blame them, but all the more reason to respect giants of the past, even the small ones like Arguello.

Hermano ese Arguello era un tolete...I've never really seen any of his boughts until now though I have heard of the man and boy, let me tell you, this guy's punching power was VERY impressive. Did this guy ever do it up with Duran?

No he didn't fight Duran.

Let me tell you, I HAVE A BUNCH OF HIS FIGHTS!.

With Olivares, with Limon, with Chacon, with Pryor, with Mancini with Costello.....you name it, I should have it.

El Flaco Explosivo era un tolete y medio.
