I would say the coat of arms of the second Haitian empire of Soulouque

The Henry Christophe one is not bad too.

I would give you a great business idea:

Have the coat of arms printed on T-shirts and sell to the Haitian diaspora in Miami, New York and Canada.
All profits should go to charity, minus my 20% brokers fee.

About as impressive as the empire it stood for lions, crowns, tassles and talk of empire...I think this coat of arms wants more badly to be European by far than the escudo of DR.

This coat of arms does not represent a single thing what haiti was or is...It's just a souvenir of a sour and sad dream of a Haitian empire.

"Faustin's foreign policy was centered on preventing foreign intrusion into Haitian politics and sovereignty. The independence of the Dominican Republic (then called Santo Domingo) from Haiti was, in his view, a direct threat to that security. Faustin launched three invasions into Dominican territory with the objective of seizing the eastern half of the island and annexing it to Haiti. However, each of the attempts ended in defeat for the Haitian Army."
Tout dépend de ce qu'on a comme outils.

P I agree. However it is a good thing this thread has re-surfaced (second time) on this great center of Haitian historical knowledge. I am sure a number of articulate Haitians can explain in detail why our perception is misguided Or not...
