By Wilgeens Rosenberg.

Full article coming soon! I am gathering my thoughts on this piece please be patient.

Meanwhile, what is your view on the title and concept so far regarding the possible prospect or aspect of this thus far as an idea to promote peace on the Island, do you not believe that those musical artists and singers have an obligation to the Island?

Your thoughts...

There is no war on the island. This isn't Colombia and the FARC or Bagdad. The island is very peaceful. You seem to take things out of context.

You are right that there are no outward Civil War like Columbia and the FARC or Baghdad, but nonetheless there is the Racial divide that is being fueled and fed by those Anti-Semitic, Past Inherited Resentments & Discriminations As to mention all the Human Rights Violations on the Island and so forth.

To deny the fact that this kind of war which consist of those problems as thought they are not present on the Island is pure naivete on your part as this site alone proves to you that there is. So those racist remarks and how this site consistently are being biased with their rules as to who they decide to censor or not are taken out of context as well huh?

Very peaceful huh? Yeah okay, sure buddy. I suppose it all depends on who is describing peaceful; but hey to each his own right...

i think that entertainers, singers in particular, really have a silly idea that they actually influence the way people think when it comes to politics.

If you agree with them you care. if you don't agre with them you are not going to change your mind.

Last year my wife dragged me to a Ricky Martin Concert. During the concert he started to ramble on about Peace and love and lets all get along when somebody in back screamed out...."SHUT UP AND SING!" That got the biggest applause of the night.
Proof of dreadlocks Bigotry.
"....... what did Cubans do to deserve preferential treatment?......and treat Black people in the most racist of ways.......... the Cubans are just a bunch of uberracist savages."
: I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY POSTS BY THE BIGOT KNOWN AS DREADLOCKS.

Pertaining to the topic, wouldn't it be great if a famous Haitian musician/group such as T-Vice (I pick them because of their increasing international success) got together with the renowned JLG for a concert? I'd go for that...

I mean, you are right and I understand where you are coming from. Not just any singers can deliver their conveying message for peace or influence people in bringing awareness to World's problems. It takes special Entertainers and Singers whom the people already had enormous respect for and are known to be Pro-Active on worldly causes.

Yes, that is exactly where I am getting at. A collaboration of prominent both successful Haitian & Dominican musicians, artists on the Island to start bringing awareness in their songs and public appearances to promote peace between the two people because the mass of the people seem to listen to them almost religiously.

Like you, I had the idea of bringing CARIMI with MUNCHY Y ALEXANDRA together. Or Antony Santos who is a Haitian-Dominican Singer with Wyclef or any other Dominican singer like Zacharia Ferrera perhaps to start spewing great lyrics and collaborations that reconciliatory hope for peace can stem from.

Like Aventura with a Haitian Group or Band to include a possibility of both many Dominican & Haitian Rappers from both sides.

Nope.
I don't care who it is.

Even Bono. If you agree with him he is great. If you don't he is a meddling selfindulgent jerk who should just shut up and sing.

Only if the entertainer leaves the stage and enters politics can they make a difference. Exampl: Ronald Reagan.
