first round needs to be longer. its better for the local economies. Imagine if minesota would have won a game. They would have had another sold out game at close to 60,000 fans in the dome. Thats alot of lost $$$ for that town. The stadium people/vendors would have had an extra day of work at least. The players get paid but the local people are screwed out of an extra day

Xwill:

the best of 7 series is saved for the World Series.... just bcs there is a economics benefit to the city , that would void the sportsmanship of the game.

its fine as it is.

With the large $$$ that players charge, teams could use as much $$$ as you can get. Some cities do not have a full house every game
Baseball has become a business so there's no way owners are not making money......when they don't they sell their teams.

The owners make $$$ but what about the guy that scrubs the toilets? He can use an extra day of work
Xwill, thinking the way you are, then we will have to have baseball 24/7/365.

lol, I always go from watching MLB to Dominican league. Baseball 24/7/365 for me
I wouldn't watch Dominican baseball even if my life depended on it!.

Although, I must say, I was a huge Escogido fan when I was a jediondito.......when I was sent to spend my vacations over there.

i hear self proclaimed "hunks of men" cheer for los leones......
Yes we do....I mean, yes THEY do....JAJAJAJAJA

Not even the philly and rocks series was any good. I hope the rest changes. no more sweeps lets go into game 7 bottom of the 9th 3 balls 2 strikes
I must admit, that Phillies/Rockies series was as boring as watching paint dry..........then again, and I am sure, their fans didn't think so.

The worst part is that the game's best player Albert is out in the first round.

Well A-roid is having a good post season, but if puljos continues to be clutch, when its all done he will be the best all time. The fact that he has not used any roids will make him be on top of a-roid

Even if I a not a fan of his (I actually think he is a moron), I never thought Manny Ramirez was ever going to use anything illegal........I used to tell myself "naaaaah, that guy is too much into himself to do something that stupid".......oooops.

RE: MLB Playoffs have not been great this year
While the series themselves haven't been great. Some of the individual games have been classics. Game 2 Yanks vs Twins was great and so were games 2 and 3 of Yanks vs Angels. Angels vs Boston was boring and so was Dodgers vs St. Louis and Col vs Phillies. But yeah OP you do have a point, the series' have mostly sucked.

RE: MLB Playoffs have not been great this year
Speaking of the wildcard, a few of the radio sports shows I listen to proposed an extra wildcard team per league. With the teams with the best record getting a bye from the first round of the playoffs. I think its a horrible idea personally. But a few people are very adamant about it since some times there is no "juice' in the wildcard race and it is pretty much resolved early in the season. I just think one wildcard team is enough and that adding more wildcards would further cheapen a sport that's already pretty watered down.
