Martinez Quote: Manhattanite previously said: Brodel, who's to know what really happened to him.......Tup it may be Pavlik was really sick, I do believe that... however he took a fight days later against a stiff on PPV. Just how sick could he have been?? Williams found a top opponent on a month's notice. Kelly's excuse is too convenient and the timing looks terrible AND he chose a soft touch. C'mon man those are not the choices of a true champion. It's on him to redeem himself, for now I believe his people talked/tricked him into dodging Williams. One thing for sure, the contracts were signed so I am 1,000% sure that the Williams' people saw some sort of "doctor's notice", if you will. My personal belief is that he DID injured inself. Now, and remember, even thought he signed to fight a "tomato can", perhaps that fight will take place on a date that his Doctors told him it was ok to fight..........and the Williams fight was to close for him to recuperate. Just saying. I am "An Army Of One" ![]() Come Get Some!!. |

YES! The last one I ordered was 101 where Penn beat florian and the HILARIOUS a$$ whipping of Griffin by Silva. |

They chose a bad moment to be weak because boxing cards have been kicking ass lately. This one is decent though, but not great. I'm only ordering if others pony up their share, when cards are good I pay for them on my own. * Heavyweights (up to 265 pounds): Paul Buentello vs. Stefan Struve * Lightweights (155 pounds): Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida * Welterweights (170 pounds): Jon Fitch vs. Mike Pierce * Heavyweights (up to 265 pounds): Frank Mir vs. Cheick Kongo * UFC Lightweight Title match: BJ Penn (champion) vs. Diego Sanchez (challenger) It should be a fun match while it lasts but Penn should outclass Sanchez both standing and on the ground. Penn by rear naked choke R3, same as Florian. Edited on 12/10/2009 4:42 PM by Manhattanite. |

I like it but not even close to how much a looooooooooooooover boxing. Last MMA I watched was when that "hunk of a woman", Gina Carano, was beaten to a pulp by Cyborg. I base my opinion on some definite tangibles, in the Pacquiao Vs. Cotto fight (if you can call it that) the very limited and I mean very limited success that Cotto had was when he boxed. I can only imagine how much success a master boxer like Mayweather would have by applying his boxing ability against Pacquiao. Both Pacquiao Vs. Marquez fights were so close you could not put a thread through them (the first was a draw, the second a 1 point split decision victory for Pac) and yet Marquez did not win a single round against Mayweather. There will be no catch weight nonsense in this fight so Pac will not enjoy any weight regulated advantages. Pacquiao is a great volume puncher with incredible stamina but Mayweather may be the best defensive boxer in the last 20 odd years, even better defensively than Whitaker, Hopkins or Wright. These fights will ensure a continued legacy of fight fans the world over, whomever the victor, the real winner will be boxing, it's continued survival and dare I say re-emergence from fringe sport internment. |
