He is now US welter title holder, however unfortunately in an ugly fashion and sent him to the hospital. We should all be proud of Delvin continuing a promising campaign, but right now I just hope his opponent comes out OK after surgery http://maxboxing.com/Cliff/Rold071708.asp Edited on 7/17/2008 5:32 PM by Manhattanite. On another note I bet Puerto Ricans in Nyc are heart broken over the Cotto loss. Intelligence organizes the world by organizing itself, Jean Piaget |

Margarito worked on Cotto's body for the first four rounds while Cotto was head hunting. Cotto was obviously laboring under the assumption that he had enough power to eventually knock Margarito out, which was obviously wrong. Margarito soaked up Cotto's shots and then went to work with the jab and relentless pursuit after the fourth. Cotto couldn't handle the onslaught. I can't beleive, though, that Cotto went out like he did with one knee to the canvas. Great fight though. |

More likely the commission should not have let this guy fight as often as he did...also commissions need to look hard at the real culprit in a lot of these situations, the pre-fight weight-draining. I'm a tremendous Cotto fan, I go to all his fights in New York at the Garden. I knew from the day this fight was made that it was big trouble Personal blog: http://harlequinlocke.livejournal.com News & Opinion feed: http://www.google.com/reader/shared/03443266769684001616 |

" I was there when he fought Judah in the garden...cuanta mujere!...I'm still a Cotto fan regardless of what transpired against Margarito. I hope there's a rematch. With a different game plan Cotto might be able to do something next time. |

His fight is 9/13 in Mississippi on Showtime vs. Nate Campbell. He needs to fight Manny Pacquiao. Pac-man is SCARED to face Joan. He keeps moving up in weight to aviod Joan. If Joan wins, Pacquiao bettter face him. |

His is always coming forward ready to fight not like the glorified waltzing that the sport has been putting out for the past few years.
