Karina Pasian
Karina is a young singing talent, Dominican-Armenian-American. She has had a lot of acclaim and her album dropped yesterday. She is so good she had two major labels bidding for her (Bad Boy and Def Jam).
Though I myself am not Dominican, I think she would be a great role model for Dominicans and all females. She has a great song called "16@war". It talks about the issues youths have to face today. Its much deeper than all the pop-industry stuff. Her voice is incredible and she is also a phenomenal pianist. She has even performed with Andrea Bocelli and she is the first Dominican to perform in the White House for the President.
I think you should check her out. Maybe you're not into music that much but I think people like Karina should be spotlighted. Post what you think of her!

Talia,

Karina has a beautiful voice..I hope you don't get clobbered for this one. I won't say why right now but we'll see...

I think this was a nice post and a change of attitude (crossing my fingers, knocking on wood)...

Can't bring me down!

I'll wait and see how she handles glamor and money.

And I think she's O.K. Nothing to really rave about. Just O.K.

And so, my fellow "Dominicans", ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.

Thanx for the comments guys. I think she is more of a real artist than those pop-tart record label girls.

Good luck to her. By the way, she is half-armenian.
