Location: United States Join date: September 2008 Member #: 1459 Posts: 49  | Promoters need to bring heavy metal bands to DR This is a music genre that has many fans in Dominican Republic and yet it is always ignored by promoters and I don't understand why. When you have Iron Maiden going to Puerto Rico and giving a concert over there and they don't make the effort to bring them to my country it just looks really pathetic. I'm sorry but not every Dominican likes that garbage reggeaton or bachata music some of us like Heavy Metal and would love to see in our home country. I myself would travel back to my country just to see one of the popular metal bands. We want Manowar, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer and big bands like that in DR. |

I have always hated that reggaeton garbage, so much that I think that panamians should be ashamed and be held in contempt just for coming up with such unimaginative disparate, and boricuas are even more guilty for promoting it, all the more when you consider that they have such a decent genre of their own in salsa. One problem which you can tell just from the above few posts is that metals best days are clearly behind it. Motorhead, and Ozzy are metal bands. To remind you Heavy Metal bands are filling up stadiums all over the world especially in Europe and South America Iron Maiden for example played in front of over 250,000 people in Brazil. |

Just because I love and prefer white women that doesn't make me a sanky its just a matter of taste and everybody has the right of being attracted to whoever they want. All I'm saying is that the Dominican people never progress and don't want to explore new things or be open to other forms of music other then the crap they are listening to now. |
