I started this topic because I want to know what inspires you. Inspiration is an emotion. It comes and goes, but what brings about this emotion? Is it a movie? Music? National pride?
Myself, I'm inspired by a bunch of things. The first one is that poem Invictus.



Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,

It is Nelson Mandela's favorite poem. He said it helped him a lot when he was incarcerated. What inspires me about this is the notion of perseverence and strenght of self.

Another person that inspires me has a stupid name, but he has a really good speech. The Hiphop Preachers speech about striving to goals. I really like how he focusses on the state of mind you need to be better then the average person.
