I think the reason for Al being a 15 10 guys is more about them not running plays directly for him. When the whole team is healthy, he’s at best their 3rd or 4th option which is less than cool. On most nights he gets those 15, 10 off hustle. If they ever decide to establish a real inside game Al can definitely be a 20, 10 guy. His game reminds me of a young Buck Williams but more athletic. Dominicans are beginning to mark their mark in the NBA, but dominate, I think that is to strong of a word to use! That's like saying China is dominiating in the NBA b/c of Yao Ming! Does the DR have a national team or Olympic team? |

Dominicans are light years away from dominating basketball. and if by some miracle we dominate it will probably be at the one and two positions. we do not have enough Seven-Footers to dominate the four and five positions. Location: United States Join date: December 2007 Member #: 4 Posts: 5242 | RE: NBA the Dominican Impact! my sentiments exactly, Hateitorloveit. i am delighted with the success of Horford, and hope to see many more. but Dominicans will never dominate basketball; it is THE glamor sport of the black community in the USA, and we will never replace them in that arena. heck, genetically, they produce the body types that we only produce occasionally. it is not like baseball, wherein guys 5 foot 8 inches tall can be superstars at any position. similarly, the odd domincan will eventually become a defensive lineman star in the NFL, but we just do not produce very many guys 6 foot 7, 330 lbs. |

Ewing is a geriatric by now, and some young turks might not be familiar with him. as an aside, John Starks was my favorite player on that knicks team. |
