Indeed...proving the old adage "don't believe everything you hear".

Why would that surprise you? Boston is arguably the most racist city in the northeast. And I'm not saying that at a distance. I used to be a resident of Lawrence, MA.

Why is it that people are still surprised by the fact that the aristocratic north is more racist than the agrarian south? didn't you know Glimmer that the term "passing" (as in, hiding one's "true" race) was invented in the north?

The Boston Red Sox were the last team to sign a Latin American-born ball ballplayer.

The Boston Red Sox were the last team to open a baseball academy in the Dominican Republic.

For those reasons alone they mightily suck in my book.

That's false. The north fought for no such thing. But that's a converasation for another thread.

Ted Williams held animosity for the Boston organization for making him hide his heritage.

Ted Williams was very instrumental in getting all the Negro league ballplayers into the baseball Hall of Fame.
