I'm sorry to say but I think in the DR the best looking women are found in those far remote campos where there are still donkey pushing carts still around. I've been to Constanza, Janico, Jarabacoa San jose De Las Matas, Martin Garcia, Moca these are the cities where I have seen the most beautiful women. Now I hate to say this and some may call it racist I am attracted to fair-skinned women. No not white (I like sason on my rice) Fair skinned, mulatta, mulatica, indiesita. Black just doesn't do it for me. It's not about color its about attraction.

Well, I totally agree with you JEM. I understand the (often harsh) logic they are using but I can't help but feel at times that what this topic, ultimately, boils down to is not really about Dominican beauty in general, but how it apparently falls short of the beauty represented in other countries that are comparable to western tastes.

USADR, I thank you for your commentary as well for I think it is very accurate. However, like you said Dominican morenas/mulattas are very well liked, but generally not by many Dominican men, and I know that not all Dominican men think like that, but it is very common. I agree with you 100% with mentioning that the Brazilians are a Portuguese-speaking version of us, lol very true. I was born and raised in Newark so I'm a very much familiar with the Ironbound section of this city and I very much enjoy interacting with the Brazilians over here.

Yes Undyin86 you have a point. If we go back and ask the question who are the ones most likely to travel to the U.S and become ambassadors of their country the answer will be the more affluent ones and the ones with the social advantage usually in any western society, White middle upper classes.

Mr. Ladronaso, I would put Dominican women against Columbians or any others any day(have some experience in the matter lol); Dominicanas have a natural sex appeal that I have not seen matched in all my travels(with Brazileñas as the notable exception) that mixed in with their NATURAL beauty makes them a formidable force .Yo de verdad no’te entiendo K lo que a’ti no te gustan las morenas lol. Ladronaso, I am glad to see that you mention and admit that you prefer fair-skinned women (Ha Ha Ha I knew it!). I don't think you're being racist by saying that, it is plain and simply your preference and there's nothing wrong with that. However, I do think you are overestimating cibaeñas and underestimating women from other regions in the DR; Bani and Azua are excellent examples of towns in the southern part of DR where there are many beautiful women I've also have happened to come across many Dominican girls from Hato Mayor Del Rey and Higuey that are very beautiful. But yes, it is true there is a higher percentage in the Cibao region than in the southern region of DR, and you will see it that way if you prefer fairer-skinned women also.

Well, mr. Frank, seeing as how I have to take the streets on my line of work in the Capital I can pretty much attest to the fact that he's not lying. Unlike what I experienced on other countries of the region, where one can pretty much find a muchachona every two corners, if one really wants to escape the "grillo" environment that caharacterizes the Capital, one have to either go to the campos of the Cibao (or Santiago city properly), some isolated towns of the South (Bani, Azua and to some extent, Barahona) or be a night owl, specially on the Lincoln/Churchill ave. perimeter, where the big bucks are concentrated.

I don't go to capital unless is business or to visit family, my family is mostly concentrated in Santiago and Monte Plata

First of all the my comments are strictly regarding "looks" aesthetics, visual appearance. Nothing else. They are based on personal observations (surveys unscientific yes) questions experiences and interactions with others. In my comments I did not mention personality or factors such as appeal or compatibility etc.

Second FYI I personally think Cuban women are far more attractive aesthetically than Dominican woman with regard to my experiences but it is very improbable that I would date a Cuban due to compatibility and other personality issues. I find them to be very acidic in personality with a few rare and I do mean rare exceptions. In the past I have dated a few Cuban women. However, this doesn't negate the fact that if you walk around in predominately Cuban sections of New Jersey, Tampa, Orlando Miami that you will not take notice of the amount beautiful women compared to doing the same in Dominican Neighborhoods in New York Miami Tampa Orlando etc.

And no I do not have a strong attraction towards Black women or Negras. I have To clarify I refer to Morena as Coffee colored dark skinned not black. I reserve a clear distinction between Black Negra and Morena.
