RE: Haitian invasion on video
MegaScorpio
Vacano, this was a personal question to gizmo. I don't want to get into your Haitian/Dominican debates. Your Haitian/Dominican debates don't matter to me since I am an outsider.

The problem is that gizmo has made some racist comments about blacks in general, not just Haitians. I find it weird since 85% of dominicans have some african lineage and his comments are not something I expect from a nonwhite dominican. I was just curious if gizmo was white or not. Sometimes, he sounds like a white supremist. I just hope he is not a mulatto or black Hispanic. If he is mulatto or black than he needs to be careful about his comments and opinions since self-hatred is the worse hate there is.

gizmo, what makes you believe that I won't believe you. Don't be so quick prejudge. I am just asking you a personal question based on curiousity. Stop trying to twist my question into a Haitian/Dominican debate. Do you have something to hide?

If you like, I will begin with myself. I am an American of Venezuelan parents of White-Italian and Afro-Trinidadian descent. I don't know that much about my Italian side, but I am very close with my Venezuelan and Trini roots. I am 29 yr. young and my girlfriend is dominican from La Romana.
Now, what about you? Don't hide behind the Hispanic/Latino label since it doesn't represent your race.

BTW- I know the difference between a Haitian and Dominican. I have been to Haiti on a missionary trip with a church group and I have seen the dire poverty and misery there first hand. However, I don't despise them. I know their past history mistakes, bad govt., and powers to be( US, France, Canada) are the reason that they are in the state their in. I also believe that their plight shouldn't be a burden on the DR and its people. However, i don't believe violence and racist comments and attacks will solve the Haitian/Dominican issue.

Gizmo MegaScorpio guess what i don't believe anything you're telling me, i think personally your just one of the bunch a troll. You're from Venezuela? you know what people from Venezuela are as racist as any other Latin American nation. My comments are mines and i'm honest i don't need you to shove you're ideas of what i should think or who should i associate with or like! So with that said, believe what you like, i sure don't believe you're crap. First dictate to you're people and yourself to stop being racist against blacks and indigenous people in Venezuela that compose a large segment of that population in said country, stop being an intruder in a country that you will never understand. You're a humanist fine do that in you're own country don't meddle with another you hypocrite people like you i consider the worst enemies of the Dominican Republic just like the N.G.O's and the Jesuits they all should be expelled from the country. Your likes don't truly care about the D.R. so again please keep your opinions to yourself you're a foreigner you got no say. For the outsiders that don't want to criticize the culprit Haiti f**k off no more mr. nice guy, put your eyes on the prize Haiti's goverment and wealthy class that's dwindled in power and don't give a damn for the black masses there! you know why RACISM! F**K OFF.....

As I have seen over the past few days on here by way of replies or comments put up by Haitians at home and abroad I am now convinced of a few things.

First off, Haitians have no respect for Dominican sovereignty and the laws of the Dominican Republic, as is evident by the waves of illegal migrants. Even deeper, it seems to me that the Haitian community shares in the belief that they have a right to this their "indivisible island," evidenced by the way they carry themselves in the DR, i.e. plotting murders of line supervisors etc. Is this how they will take "their" lands back, a silent revolution, merely breeding us out of existence, electing their own leaders?

Secondly, it seems that a good handful of people who post on here that have no idea of what is going on down on the island. May i suggest a little vacation- not to the resorts but back to your barrios and just look around, talk to people, visit the local Haitian "pidelon," and be sure to spot him a few bucks, or a pair of shoes. I was down there a few weeks agao and was dismayed to see that the Dominican "watchiman" that stood guard at my building had been let go, in fact all that Dominican "watchimans" were let go in favor of 2 Haitians, even more surprising every building on the block had Haitian cerrenos. I became close with one of them- a legal resident trying to assimilate himself to our culture, but that was 1.

Open your eyes people, we need to care for our own first- not discounting the Haitian need- but our needs must come first. We need to get our stuff straight before we can even come close to advising the broken system that is our neighbors'. All I can do is wish them all the luck and love in the world.

Well show haitian eating sand cookies, calling our country failled state and calling us with all names doesnt show the " love'' that you got for us.

Oye- T(roll)N1804, you don't get it.

This isn't about love homeboy- this is reality. You must be delusional. What the hell does reality (the truth) have to do with showing you love my man? Do you eat dirt cookies? Yes... Is your country a failed state? Yes- and corrupt I might add. Call you names? Be a big boy and deal with it that's what it is. Listen up and listen good my friend, the sooner you accept reality, i.e. dirt cookies and the knife that is the Haitian government, the sooner you can get your stuff together.

Personally I wouldn't eat a dirt cookie- but people are hungry what can you do. I know its embarrassing. Accept it and we'll figure this all out together.

Try dialoguing with these folks!
Educated Haitians are all in denial, and ashamed to accept the latrine that their country
has turned into. It is humiliating and shameful, but the first step is to stop the denial,
and then go from there accepting reality, just like the alcoholics 12 step program does.
Ignorance is temporary, stupidity lasts forever.

RE: Haitian invasion on video
Again, you still didn't answer my question? What is your age and racial background? Should it be safe to think your a teenagar around 15- 16 yrs. old mulatto or black with self hate issues

My question is a personal question to you. It has nothing to do about your country.I have not mention anything about racism in your country, but your racist comments and call for violence against people who are dirt poor . Again I am not here to debate about the haitian/dominican issue. It is not my damn business. Believe me I am not a troll and I don't want to be a troll. I just want an answer to a personal question.

BTW to answer some of the comments you sent to me. I know about the racism in Caracas. You don't have to preach to the choir here. It comes from our rich and upper middle class white population. I don't deny that. However, my country is very diverse of all racial backgrounds and their is no self hatred amongst our indigenous, mestizo, mulatto, and black populations. We have immigrant populations from Colombia, Guyana, Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Trinidad, Italy, etc and we treat them all fair in our country. Chavez is of mix white/Ameridian/african heritage and embraces all of his heritages unlike your nappy headed, flat nosed president Leonel Fernandez who would be considered un negro in the streets of Caracas or Valencia.

Also, don't make comments about a country you have never visited. Unlike you, I visited your country for vacation and your neighbor's for a missionary trip and I still don't make presumptions about Haitians or Dominicans. I do believe the people on both sides of the island are very hospitable though. I did enjoy the DR and I congratulate you on your accomplishments. I wish nothing but the best and love for the DR and a stable and improved Haiti. God Bless!

how you doing scorpio? ... With your knock on the President of our country are you trying to knock the Dominican people? Let me tell you something tigere, we come in all colors- from burn in the sun white to midnight black- we don't care as we are one nation. My family as I am sure most Dominican families are, runs that same spectrum of skin color- no one cares. Why are you trying to paint the Dominican people as souls dependent on the color of one's skin? Thats BS man. Who cares if Leonel is black in your country, he's a Dominican (sometimes I wish he wasn't) in ours... What's Chavez up to now anyways?

I am sorry, but there is a question that I am dying to ask and I know my fellow paisanos always wanted to ask to. Why are all the street ice cream vendors in Caracas Haitian or Dominican? You can't walk around Las Mercedes or the Chacaito market w/o being bombarded by them. There are so many other jobs out there they can do. I don't want to be rude, but this is something we find puzzling in Venezuela.

No doubt general, I agree. I will email you on some ideas that I have.
