In my opinion that newspaper should be ashamed of publishing that story. No other media has published it, and this is (in my opinion) a clear politial stunt, done when the JCE has prohibitted any more publicity. Are you serious? Her wife walking alone without protection?

In my opinion they blew it when they mention that she called "Dairiolibre.com" specifically to inform this. No, she didn't do a press conference, no he didn't call a spokesman from Vargas Maldonado, she took her cell and called the website?

Its me angry to see that they would stoop so low. DR politicans as a whole need a cleansing process. Fresh blood, people who are not corrupt and care about the well being of the country, and have a plan for success for the future.

The more see and analyze the DR political scene, the more it becomes apparent the high level of corruption and the puppetering and control that foreign gov't (Spain, USA, Canada) have on DR. It's sad that DR has become a b*tch to these countries.

DR is ours. Why are becoming suckers to this foreigners who jus want to exploit our natural resources. This goes to other third countries as well like Haiti but it angers specifically b/c it happens in DR.

I agree with you 100% DR should reclaim there Independence, from Big Brother Countries, and reclaim, all natural resources, from the Control of foreign Countries, to redistribute, the wealth amongst the People.

If shit does, not work out, with whomever WIns the elections.... If you ask me , we need more Intellectual non-greedy, Dominicans, living abroad, to start somehow getting involved, in the formation of a New Movement. A movement for the People by the People, were we control our own Destiny.

Also we need to properly, Educate our People's. I mean its a damm shame when i ask a any Dominican if they know what happen in Abril1965 or if they know who was
Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó or even somtimes Juan Bosch and they reply, with a clueless no.

But they know who Balaguer was, and that he gave alot to the Poor ,but they do not know of all the political murders that continued to be frequent during his administration.

I believe that in order, for us to know were we are going, we must know were we are coming from.
