I didn't know what to think so I watched the show. It is quite embarrassing how they use the country's history and symbols for negative things but it was interesting to learn about their history and development (I would just like to add the network was very objective in its reporting). I think the best way to avoid these organizations is to better education in the Dominican Republic so people can find better opportunities when they migrate. What do people think? |

You give these guys too much credit!!!!!! way to much... I met a couple of these guys, your average un-educated low class Dominicans. They make Dominicans look bad, I know of not one person "educated and mature" that likes them. |

Actually, what surprised me was that one of the detectives said that after the Latin Kings they were probably the most organized gang in the area. And it literally started with just one dude that got locked up in Riker's in the late '80's, early '90's. |

After many busts during the crack/cocaine epidemic here in the city, Dominicans that found themselves in prison also found themselves alone and being picked on. So this man (aka "El Caballote" ) decided to imitate the other gangs already there and form one to protect Dominicans (according to the program). Edited on 6/11/2009 11:53 PM by DominicanChic. |

Actually, there are Gang leaders with college education... but as in the military the foot soldiers are all pawns...... Edited on 6/12/2009 12:11 AM by chillaxin201. |

I have met Latin Kings, Ñetas, Bloods, Crips .. but the thing i hate about 3NI is that they use DR history and they yell out patria and stuff.. when you do that you put all Dominicans in the same boat...... another thing is that the have a lot of Little kids in these gangs. BUt if you ain;t locked up stay away from gangs, I know people doing life because they got caught up, ordered to kill some one or had to TAKE the rap for some one else... remember the cops do not care about you... the law doesn't care.. you will do LIFE in Jail/ prison for nothing..
